Our Story of Hope

I believe the Lord has called us to be his hands and feet by serving others, especially those less fortunate. My personal experiences with fear, hunger, war displacement, and abuse have given me empathy for women and children who are suffering now as I once did. Because of this, I feel called to reach out and offer a place where they feel safe and hopeful. This place will be a home for women who have been sexually abused to take refuge, and a community to empower women traumatized by war. Additionally, my work in Tanzania with people affected by leprosy showed me how simple acts of hope and mercy can change lives. In all these experiences, I have learned that God sends us to be present for each other, to listen without judgment, and to ensure that those who are afraid know they are safe. Receiving love and support from many (God sent) people has inspired me to give back by sharing the same hope and love with others. By helping one woman or child at a time, we begin a chain of healing and restoration, including forgiving those who have hurt us. Together, we also begin to rebuild our humanness. Let us continue to pray and share hope for those who are still suffering!
